Welcome, December: the month of hot chocolate, holiday cheer & everything frosted. I’ll be the first to admit my inner child really comes out during this season, as I’m a huge fan of festivities. So, if you see someone dressed in head-to-toe red and green as Christmas draws near, it’s probably me. And, because I’m such an avid proponent, you’ve probably already guessed that some of the ABCs naturally have to do with the holidays.
a is for angelic | I’ll let these angelic voices speak for themselves: Pentatonix’s ‘Little Drummer Boy.’ (Really, though, please click the link; you won’t be disappointed). Also, super psyched to hear the group’s making its way to the District in March.
b is for brackish | (…but not in a negative way). This Sunday, after I finished checking out Thread, I perused the usual shops at Union Market and ended up buying Smoked Chili Salt from Bazaar Spices. I’ve been adding it to my egg scramble each morning for a brackish, flavorful kick. For those who like a little zing, I highly recommend it.
c is for convivial | I’m looking forward to a convivial weekend, complete with brunch with a dear friend who’s about to move away from DC (sad). But before she departs, we’re determined to make the most of the few days we have left. One festivity on our list this weekend is to go to Grump, an “alternative holiday craft show” at Artisphere, according to BYT.
