You may have seen on our various social media sites the Tapestry question of the month: Who is/was your Norgay in your life? Are you still climbing your Everest? … but who exactly is Norgay?
Named by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the 20th century, Tenzing Norgay was the Nepalese Sherpa who helped Sir Edmund Hillary climb Mount Everest. As avid mountaineer, Norgay saved Hillary from a fall into a crevice. Like the triumph of Hillary, most success is not achieved single handedly; most successful people have their Norgay. This thus brings us to our Tapestry question of the month.
Side note, did you catch the movie reference inherent in the Tapestry question? Who else is a fan of Intolerable Cruelty?
Finally, a quick note about the Tapestry questions: through providing a question each month, we hope to offer guidance in self submitting to Tapestry. Nonetheless, we still encourage everyone to submit any story they wish to share. We envision Tapestry as a virtual live commenting board, where people can become curators by sharing their own story, thereby starting their own thread — or they can respond to existing threads (perhaps the question of the month) by uploading a video. This way, Tapestry becomes a place where people interact and engage in dialogue and conversation.
