With summer winding down, the last Screen on the Green will be held this Monday, August 12. For those unfamiliar, Screen on the Green is a summer outdoor movie festival located at the National Mall between 7th and 12th streets. It began on July 22 with “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” and closes tonight with “Tootsie.” “Tootsie” chronicles the story of a male actor down on his luck, who decides to dress up as a woman, so he can audition for a role in a soap opera. Difficulty — and hilarity — ensues, when he falls for a female costar, while a male costar falls for him. The 1982- movie is rated PG.
