What to do, What to do

It’s Friday afternoon and you’re probably sitting at your desk ready to leave work (and yes checking our blog of course) wondering, what’s going on this weekend? Well here are some of my favorite options for a fun filled weekend!

FRIDAY: It’s a little warm outside, but today is a great day to head over to the Fairgrounds for the monthly Truckeroo Food Truck event featuring some of our favorites including TaKorean. Check out the full list of food trucks participating here.

And watch the OJBG Secret Project on TaKorean here:

SATURDAY: It should be a nice day to relax and enjoy the outdoors, but if you’re not in the mood to soak up the sun or spend time outside then you should check out the DC Shorts film festival. Every year some of the best short films from around the world come to the district to participate in the fest, now in its 9th year. Films can be seen at the U.S. Navy Memorial and at E Street Cinema. This year’s fest runs till Sept. 16th, so if you don’t go this weekend, you till have a little time. Check out their website to see the complete schedule: http://dcshorts.com/

SUNDAY: Sunday Funday offers lots of options, not sure how football can’t already be on your mind after the great Wednesday night opener, but in case you needed a reminder (or excuse to be lazy) Week 1 has some great match ups including the Packers vs 49ers and Peyton Manning’s return vs the Steelers. Check out the complete schedule here.

I would love to just lounge on the couch all day drinking beer and watching the games, but I’ll be on the National Mall because this is also the first Sunday of the DC Kickball leagues (well at least the first Sunday of my league). Either way Sunday promises to be a great day of sporting, no matter what your sport, and yes flip cup is a sport!

Another option is the Adams Morgan Festival. It will be happening in Adams Morgan from noon till 7. Stop by, check out some great music and hav a good time. You may even see some of the 20/20 Production team! Get all the deets on the Adams Morgan Day Festival here.

So there you have it, some fun possibilities f or this weekend! Let us know if you have any other fun (yes they must be fun) plans!
