Tomorrow night, Panda Head is bringing us the END OF SUMMER BUMMER, a series of new short films by some of their very favorite movie-making friends from in and around the District–including “Bottle Pop” by OJBG’s very own, Otessa Ghadar! The Event will be the kick-off party for The Fridge‘s FRESH PRODUCE, a one-month festival, showcasing the breadth and depth of the DC arts scene. The Fridge is located on Barracks Row in the Eastern Market neighborhood of DC. Tickets for tomorrow night’s event are $6, and can be purchased in advance on Eventbrite. You can get updates onFresh Produce on The Fridge’s Twitter or Facebook pages.
Also tomorrow is the Summer Spirit Festival 2012 being headlined by Erykah Badu. The music festival is being held at Merriweather Post Pavillion (Columbia, MD) and will also feature Common, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Estelle, and Eric Roberson. If you’re into R&B, Hip-Hop, or Soul music, the event starts at 3:00pm and tickets are $44 – $125 (depending on how close you want to be to the action).
